CAIRO -20 August 2017: The photo is of the western reef heron, which is known as the western reef egret.

This photo was taken of the bird in its early age, as its color turns to white when it is fully developed.

The photo was taken by professional photographer Hashim Morsy on June 28, 2017 on Qulaan Island, which is located inside the nature protectorate of Wadi El-Gemal in Marsa Alam, which is located on the western side of the Red Sea.

Qulaan Island is a nature protectorate that is known by nature photographers to be one of the best places in Egypt to watch and photograph birds and marine life.
