ALEXANDRIA, Egypt - 6 August 2017: Wadi Degla reservoir is found at Maady in Cairo, within the Eastern Dessert.
The reservoir is 60 kilometers wide and includes lime stone rock formations.
Here is a list of what makes it really special:
1- The highlight of Wadi Degla is its rich rock formations, animals and plants.
2- There are more than 60 types of plants there, covering a lot of Wadi Degla and making it green year round.
3- Various types of deer and reptiles are found there, including the Egyptian tortoise.
4- It is home to 12 different species of Eastern Desert birds, in addition to migrating species.
5- It only takes a fraction of a dollar, or LE 3, for Egyptians to enter this place.
