CAIRO – 5-August, 2017:ET is markingthe birthday day of the first person to lay foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong.
“The important achievement of Apollo was demonstrating that humanity is not forever chained to this planet and our visions go rather further than that and our opportunities are unlimited.” Said by Armstrong.
Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930, and he passed away on August 25, 2012. He was an experimental research test pilot in 1955 at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). He landed on the moon on July 20, 1969.
He was the first person to land on the moon. He was Appointed as Deputy Associate Administrator for aeronautics for the Office of Advanced Research and Technology in 1970, but he resigned from it the same year.
