Abo Monkar Island is an extension of the Giftun Island located in front of the of Hurghada beach, which is a beach resort 40 kilometers along Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Transportation to Abo Monkar is very easy, you can rent a private boat from Hurghada , the journey takes 45 minutes and costs from LE 900 for 1000 ($50).

The journey starts at 8:30 a.m. and after 45 minutes you arrive to the island.

The beach is filled with sea snails and a lake inside the island with the Mangrove trees and a lot of sea birds.

You do not have to be a professional diver to enjoy the sight, the turquoise transparent water in Abo Monkar Island makes snorkeling a pleasure, where you can observe the colorful coral reef and various underwater inhabitants.
