For his part, Ashraf Abady, Director of the Diving Center in Marsa Alam, said that the Hamata area is a natural oasis with a unique privacy.

The Director of the Diving Center added that Hamata is witnessing a great turnout of tourists who come to enjoy sea trips, diving, and fishing. The area is also visited by many lovers of sea trips to go to distant islands, in addition to diving enthusiasts and relaxing in the heart of the sea.

For his part, Ibrahim Saad, an environmental researcher in the Hamata area, said that the Red Sea Governorate includes three main nature reserves, in addition to many other natural areas that have been registered outside the reserves, and that Hamata is considered one of the most important sectors of the Wadi El Gemal Reserve due to its biological diversity, whether in terms of marine or terrestrial organisms.

The environmental researcher added that Hamata, which is located in the southern part of Marsa Alam, is one of the most prominent destinations that include the picturesque beaches of the Red Sea, and these beaches are characterized by the fact that they embody an artistic painting of the creativity of nature that God has bestowed upon Egypt, making them an ideal destination for tourists.

He revealed that many rare marine creatures have been spotted in the area, such as: dolphins and turtles, and the name "Hamata" goes back to the sorrel plant that grows abundantly in the area, as it was gradually distorted to become "Hamata".

The Hamata area is the largest sector of the Wadi El Gemal Reserve, and is considered one of the most prominent environmental stations where marine and terrestrial organisms meet.

The Egyptian gazelle has been spotted in the area, which is considered one of the most common places where this type of gazelle lives. It has also been designated as an area for monitoring rare marine creatures, including dolphins and turtles.
