What would be a better way to keep yourself warm than with a yummy hot drink? The colder the weather gets, the more we search for ways to stay warm. Hot drinks are our best friend in cold weather so before the winter officially comes, bring up your mug and prepare your favorite hot drink or try a new one. Here’s a list of hot drinks that will make you feel warm and cozy. 
 
Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate is typically everyone’s favorite hot drink. Moreover, it’s effortless to prepare at home. In just 10 minutes, you will enjoy the most delicious cup of hot chocolate.
Ingredients: 1½ tsp cocoa powder (unsweetened), 2 tsp sugar, chocolate chips, chunks, or shavings for a rich chocolate flavor, 1 cup of milk (full cream), ¼ tsp vanilla extract, and water.
Directions: In a saucepan, put the dry ingredients together and add water then, stir for 2 minutes until combined. Place over medium heat, add the milk and chocolate, and whisk constantly to avoid burning the chocolate until steaming (do not boil). Remove from the heat, add the vanilla extract, and stir. Additional step;  add marshmallows, chopped chocolate, or whipped cream on the top for serving.

Have you ever tried it before? It may sound unappealing to some people but it’s delicious and very beneficial. A daily cup of ginger tea can help your digestive system and prevent indigestion, nausea, and heartburn.
Ingredients: 1 fresh ginger root (about 5 cm) peeled and sliced, 2 cups water, juice of ½ lemon, and 1 tsp honey.
Directions: In a pot, boil the water and ginger for at least 10 minutes, or 20 minutes if you want a stronger flavor. Remove the ginger pieces using the strainer, and add the honey and lemon juice to taste and enjoy!

For green tea and matcha lovers, this recipe is for you! This cozy hot matcha latte is full of antioxidants and will make you feel soothed and refreshed. It’s easy to make and will give you a morning boost.
Ingredients: 1 tsp matcha powder, ¼ cup hot water, 2 tsp honey, and ¾  cup hot milk
Directions: Put the matcha powder in your mug, add the water, and stir properly till fully combined. Add the honey and whisk until no lumps remain, after that, add the milk. For aesthetic touches, use a milk frother to froth up the milk before adding it, stir it all, and voila!

Ingredients: 1 cup milk, ¼ tsp cinnamon, 1 cinnamon stick, ½ tsp vanilla extract, and honey or sugar to taste
Directions: Gather all ingredients, put them into a saucepan on medium heat, and whisk for about 5 minutes until it starts to boil. Pour into a mug, garnish it with a pick of cinnamon or pumpkin spice powder, and drink up!

A super creamy, cozy, and perfectly spiced latte that will give you winter vibes in a mug. It’s also homemade which means that you will enjoy the whole experience.
Ingredients: 1 espresso shot, 2 tsp gingerbread syrup, ½ cup milk, ¼ cup heavy cream, gingerbread spices (1 pinch ground nutmeg, 1 pinch ground cinnamon, 1 pinch ground ginger), and whipped cream for serving (optional)
Directions: In a saucepan over medium heat, add the milk, gingerbread spices, and heavy cream. Heat them for a few minutes until the mixture starts to steam, then turn off the heat and froth. In a coffee mug, add the gingerbread syrup and espresso shot, and mix them properly. After that, add the frothed milk, and if you wish, top with whipped cream, cinnamon sprinkle, and sip away.
