Fall is called "spooky season" for a reason. Halloween is here and might as well celebrate it all the way, even if you’re staying in. You can throw your own Halloween party, plan a Halloween-themed pampering night, invite your friends, and turn your home into a spooky place using some decorations and light effects. You don't need to prepare much, just a few treats, drinks, group games, and a Halloween playlist. Ask your friends to wear costumes and dance all night. Here’s a guide to plan the perfect celebration and enjoy it with the ones you love.

Throw a Costume Contest
Ask the attendees to get as creative as possible with their costumes and details. Make it a contest and give out prizes for the best, scariest, funniest, and weirdest costumes. Let all of them participate in voting and deciding the winners and enjoy the vibes of competition, especially for the kids.

Prepare Food and Treats
Rather than buying ready-made food, do it together. The only thing better than eating sweet caramel and candy-coated apples is making them, gather your friends and family to make caramel or candy apples together. You can also turn many appetizers into a spooky delight with a little creativity. Make spooky foods such as breadsticks shaped like bones or witch fingers, green and purple dips, or mummy-wrapped hot dogs. You can also prepare trick-or-treat decorated boxes for the kids and try new recipes using apple cider and pumpkins.

Get Creative With Halloween Makeup
Unleash your inner artist. A Halloween costume without putting on the makeup that compliments your look. You can do it with your friends or individually, and surprise each other with your makeup skills. Try new spooky or fun Halloween makeup looks on each other and transform yourselves into creepy clowns, vampires, witches, fairies, mermaids, and more using face paint, makeup, and glitters.

Watch a Scary Movie
Prepare popcorn and snacks and enjoy a little scare. Bone-chilling Halloween movies are definitely the best if you're staying in on October 31. Rewatch a classic, or discover a new horror film to watch. Look for a movie with scary themes like ghosts and haunted houses, vampires, witches, serial killers, or zombies. Try to make the room as scary as possible to feel the chilling vibes.
