Seven old toys cooler than the fidget spinner

CAIRO – 22 July 2017: Seriously, this fidget spinner frenzy is getting out of hand. Firstly, it seems too dull to be that much of a famous toy and secondly… well, our old toys were much more fun!

Remember this gun? It was so absurd with its weird noises and the fact that most of us did not understand what kind of a gun it is supposed to be; later we realized it is supposed to a gun from space… or not, no one really knows.

We had so many cool board games as well, like Bank Al Haz (the Arabic version of monopoly) and Snakes and Ladders .

We fished using magnets.

And connected discs from the same color on a vertical board that usually didn’t hold them right.

And eventually we were introduced to this black box of wonders… might not seem much to you but this joystick was one of the most astonishing things in our childhood.

That’s why a fidget spinner seems to us like a really pointless invention that is neither creative nor relaxing.
