Breakups are heart-wrenching, we know. Nothing is worse than leaving your significant other and turning back into strangers. Although you might think that this pain is everlasting, we assure you that it will eventually get better.
So now what? You are probably feeling a bit lost now after the breakup, but we have some tips that may speed up the healing process.

● Do keep yourself busy
Sometimes, we just need to cling to anything that might take our mind off things. So, keeping yourself occupied throughout the day is the right thing to do whether it is by working, exercising, or just running errands.

● Do practice self-care
When we go through a rough patch in our lives, we tend to neglect ourselves completely in some sort of way to the point where self-care practically feels like a chore. Try to practice any kind of self-care you want; start by journaling and acknowledging your own feelings, take a day off work or even go to the spa and unwind a bit, you will need it.

● Do maintain the no-contact rule
As hard as it seems, breaking the no-contact rule will bring nothing but pain to you and the other party. Cut off all communications with your ex to help yourself heal and let go completely of the whole relationship.

● Don't try to stay friends
Just don't waste your time on this one huge mistake. Past lovers can't stay friends as one of them will definitely catch feelings again, and it will be like a never-ending loop for you two so, spare yourselves that pain.

● Don't stalk your ex
Stalking your ex will only do more damage; it will slow down your progress, making you feel nothing but jealousy and reminiscence. Blocking them may help you stop checking out their social media.

● Don't fall for rebounds
Rebounds are the worst, they never end up nicely and you drag someone else into your pain and drama only to leave them sooner than ever. So instead of properly healing you simply fill the void with someone else and hurt them in the process.

● Don't overshare on social media
Believe me, nobody cares that you are weeping over your ex online. Instead of sharing all these feelings online with hundreds of your followers, just share your emotions and thoughts with close friends and family.
