It is with great honour that the University of Hertfordshire in Egypt announces its first graduation ceremony on the 30th of September 2023 at the university’s main campus in the New Administrative Capital.
The event was a resounding success, drawing undergraduate students from four distinct programmes: Business, Mass-Communications, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Over 500 guests were in attendance, including representatives from the British Council, as well as notable figures from academia, government, and the banking sector. Additionally, the university was delighted to host a group of esteemed business people who bore witness to this significant achievement.
The anticipation was palpable as the event commenced. Vincent Emrey, President of UH-GAF, took the stage and delivered a heartfelt welcome speech. With a nostalgic tone, he reflected upon the university's remarkable journey over the past four years, filled with challenges, growth, and countless accomplishments.
Following Professor Emrey's inspiring words, Pro Vice-Chancellor of UH-UK, Professor Mairi Watson, stepped forward to deliver her speech. Radiating pride, she extended her heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, recognizing their hard work and dedication. But it wasn't just the students who received recognition – Professor Watson also took a moment to applaud the outstanding staff and faculty who had played an integral role in shaping the university's success.
President Vincent Emrey has commented on that saying: “This was a fabulous event celebrating our first graduating class their achievements were rightly acknowledged, and I look forward to following their careers as alumni of this great university”
The University of Hertfordshire in Egypt strengthens its reputation as a reputable educational institution enabling students to pursue their academic goals within a system that is globally acknowledged and as part of its recognition, all UH-GAF’s academic programmes have been equalised by The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This equalization policy enables students to pursue postgraduate studies in any Egyptian university. This flexibility opens a wide range of educational opportunities for students, allowing them to choose from various reputable institutions and programmes that suit their interests and career aspirations. This official equalisation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research enhances the university's curriculum and teaching methods.
As part of the university’s continuous efforts to prepare students to become globally empowered graduates, they received a globally recognised degree certificate from UH-UK, unlocking the doors to limitless global careers.
