Egypt's Botanical garden in Aswan prepares to receive visitors during Eid al-Adha

CAIRO - 26 June 2023: The botanical garden is one of the important tourist attractions in the city of Aswan is prepared to receive visitors during the festive season of Eid al-Adha that is set to begin on Wednesday. 

 

The Director General of the Botanical Garden, Dr. Amr Mahmoud, said in exclusive statements that the garden management is keen to provide all the appropriate atmosphere for visitors so that they can enjoy spending a special day inside this tourist attraction, which includes more than 800 rare plant species.

 

He ensured that work is underway on general cleanliness inside the garden, pruning and trimming trees, painting balconies, preparing walkers, seats and pergolas for rest and sitting, in addition to cleaning and maintaining toilets.

 

Dr. Amr Mahmoud explained that Eid Al-Adha is one of the occasions that attract large numbers of people to the garden, adding that visitors of the botanical garden enjoy a distinctive and wonderful Nile cruise amid rocks and scenic landscapes, and an entertainment trip in addition to a scientific botanical tour.

 

Visitors of the garden also like to see rare and beautiful plants whose date back to more than 120 years ago.
