One of these natural reserves is Qubbat Al-Hasana Reserve [Dome of Hasana] in Giza Governorate, the source of geological studies and ancient life.

1- It is located near Cairo Governorate, 23 km from Cairo, specifically on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road within the borders of Giza Governorate.
2- It is about 8 km away from the pyramids area, where the Qubbat al-Hasana Reserve is located. This natural reserve covers an area of more than 1 square kilometer.
3- It is considered one of the open geological museums dating back 40 million years, which is an important source for the study of fossils and ancient life sciences, as it is a living model for the effects of climate changes.

9- The protected area also has geological formations and rocks dating back to the Stone Age, which was formed about 60 million years ago, and among its formations are also rocks dating back to the Rocky Age, approximately 40 million years ago.
