Facebook Messenger will incorporate ads

CAIRO – 17 July2017: Facebook is trying to expand its influence by adding advertisements to their applications because of expected profit losses this year. Facebook has been running out of places in putting advertisements in the news feed.

Facebook wants to add more advertisements without harming the user's experience. Therefore, Facebook announced that they are testing advertising on their messenger application worldwide.

The ads will be on the home tab of the messenger application as confirmed by the Irish Times. Hence, if the user clicks on the advertisement it will take him/her to the website, or to a chat window where he/she can communicate with the brand.
