Marriott Bonvoy’s Fundraising Golf Tournament at the JW Marriott Cairo

Marriott International Hotels in Egypt have collectively come together once again to serve the local community as part of the annual social responsibility plan of the Junior Business Council, a sub-council of the Marriott Egypt Business Council represented by Caroline Selim, General Manager of the Renaissance Cairo Mirage City, by launching Marriott Bonvoy’s Fundraising Golf Tournament for the second year in a row. 

 

The Marriott Bonvoy 2022 golf tournament was hosted by the JW Marriott Cairo, headed by Heinz Grub, General Manager of JW Marriott Cairo and attended by over 100 golf players from diverse niche societies including expats, ambassadors, business owners, and Mirage Compound and Katameya Dunes residents and owners, with the ultimate purpose to raise awareness and funds for Tahya Misr and Magdy Yacoub Foundations. 

 

This event not only offered participants to enjoy a round of golf, but it also gave them a unique opportunity to be a force for a good cause and contribute to the local community. Attendees also participated in a raffle draw where they got the opportunity to gain valuable gifts donated from partners and sponsors, with a total of L.E. 678,374 funds raised, which was donated to Magdy Yacoub and Tahya Misr Foundations. 

 

The great success of this charitable golf tournament initiative was organized by Heinz Grub, under the umbrella of the Junior Business Council of Marriott Hotels in Egypt and reflected Marriott’s commitment in creating positive and sustainable impacts, with the collaborative efforts of 14 participating properties across the country, including JW Marriott Cairo, Cairo Marriott, Marriott Mena House, Marriott Hurghada, Nile Ritz Carlton, Renaissance Cairo, St. Regis Cairo, St. Regis Al Masa, Sheraton Cairo, Sheraton Soma Bay, The Westin Cairo, Le Meriden Dahab, Le Meriden Cairo Airport, Sheraton Montazah. Along with guest players and key sponsors such as Commercial International Bank "CIB", Zed Sports Club, First Abu Dhabi Bank "FAB", Premium Cards, Cairo 360, Valore, Family Corporation.
