CAIRO - 26 September 2022: A remarkable turnout has been witnessed by tourists from around the world on the hot-air balloon rides, west of Luxor governorate, Upper Egypt.

There is an increase in the number of rides per day as the weather improves, and the fall seasons begins.

Hot-air balloon flights are considered one of the most adventurous trips in the world, and Luxor city occupies third place in the world in hot-air balloon flights.

"Luxor is one of the most famous international cities in this field, because of its warm atmosphere and extensive preparations, besides, it has a special airport that is prepared for take-offs from the west of the city," one of the workers in the hot-air balloon rides said.

He added that all companies operating the hot-air balloon rides are committed to civil aviation instructions, which maintain the security and safety of the participants.

They also abide by precautionary and preventive measures, including sterilizing all balloons using heat detectors, disinfectants, and commit to certain number of passengers per flight, as set by the civil aviation authorities.

Every balloon company west of Luxor works hard to support the tourism movement by taking delightful photos. The rides reach an altitude of 2,000 feet above the land of Luxor.

The journey begins by moving in the sky of Luxor towards the west bank of the Nile, and the scenes begin to change including fields and landscapes on the bank of the Nile, then the islands scattered in the waters of the River, passing through the temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the heart of the mountain, then through the temples of Ramesseum, Habu, Amenhotep II and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings Queens and nobles.
