Reasons behind hair loss vary among several causes, it can be genetics, hormone imbalances, nutritional deficiency, pollution, or some issues with the scalp. Consulting a doctor should come to the top of the list, meanwhile, you can try some of these natural remedies.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is one of the most popular natural remedies for hair loss. Aloe vera soothes the scalp and treats dandruff. It also produces the production of sebum and unclogs hair follicles by cleaning excess oils that prevent hair from growing back. Massage some aloe vera gel directly on your scalp and leave it for an hour. Repeat this remedy twice a week.
Rosemary Oil
This is one of the best natural treatments for hair loss. Rosemary oil is an excellent hair growth stimulant and improves circulation so that the scalp has more blood supply. Rosemary oil also slows down the appearance of grey hair and treats itchy scalp. Massage around 5 drops of rosemary oil directly on the scalp after you’ve washed your hair. Rinse after an hour and repeat twice a week. You can also add a few drops of the oil to your shampoo.
Garlic
Garlic is packed with vitamins and minerals that promote hair growth and reduces hair loss. Additionally, the selenium in garlic boosts blood circulation and keeps your hair nourished. Mix a few cloves of garlic with either olive oil or almond oil. Apply this paste to your scalp and leave for 30 minutes before you rinse. Repeat 2 – 3 times a week.
Geranium Oil
Geranium essential oil is extracted from a fragrant plant native to South Africa. It helps balance the secretion around the hair follicles and is very effective in boosting hair growth. Since essential oils can’t be applied directly undiluted, mix three drops of geranium oil with 8 drops of carrier oil of your choice such as coconut oil. You can either apply it directly to your scalp or add this mix to your shampoo. Repeat 2 – 3 times a week.
Inversion Massage
Recently, there has been quite a hype on how inversion massages help your hair grow faster since it increases the blood flow to your scalp. All you have to do is hang your head upside down and massage your scalp. Repeat this method daily 2 or 3 times.
