CAIRO - 21 May 2022: The famous Australian website, Lonely Planet, highlighted seven beaches in the Egyptian tourist destination that will be enjoyed the most by tourists during their visit to Egypt.
In its article, titled "7 of the best beaches in Egypt: from the Med to the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba", Lonely Planet recommended seven beaches, among of which is Al-Nayzak in Marsa Alam.
Translates to "Meteorite," Al-Nazyak beach is believed to be formed when a meteorite hit that exact area of the coast. This natural pool has warm waters all year round.
It is one of Marsa Alam's landmarks, and most tourism companies organize daily trips to it, as it resembles a swimming pool, but naturally the water depth does not exceed 8 meters.
It is known that the beach was in the past a straight beach before it took the form of a natural swimming pool, and that the space meteor that struck that area caused the isolation of a certain spot.
The pool, several meters in diameter, is shaped like an eye filled with the turquoise blue waters of the Red Sea. It is a truly scenic spot which provides an otherworldly background that will add to any summer picture collection.
Marsa Alam is situated around 700 kilometers south of Cairo and can be reached by car, bus or domestic flight. While flying is the fastest way, travelling by land has the benefit of giving you a beautiful and soothing coastal view. Al Nayzak is an amazing place worth the travel and certainly not to be missed by those who already holiday at the nearby summer resorts of Marsa Alam.
