CAIRO – 18 April 2022: Astronomy enthusiasts and sky gazers will watch the harp meteor shower, on April 23-22, which will decorate the sky of Egypt and the Arab world.

This phenomenon occurs annually from 16 to 25 April, and peaks in 22-23, where these meteors are seen as if they were coming from the constellation Lyra (Hyrep).

This time of the month is ideal for observing and photographing the radioactive craters on the surface of the moon through binoculars or a small telescope, unlike the rest of the terrain that appears flat as a result of the presence of the entire moon in the sunlight.

During the coming nights, the moon will rise late by about an hour every day, and in a few days it will be visible only in the dawn and early morning sky, and at that time it will reach the stage of the last quarter a week after reaching the stage of the full moon.
