Jumia Egypt announced the launch of the first edition of “Jumia Shopping Festival”, the first online shopping festival in Egypt that brings together top brands in all categories: Electronics, Home and Kitchen, Health and Beauty and others.
Jumia Shopping Festival will last ten days, starting on April 10th until April 20th. Over those ten days, visitors will encounter discounts up to 80% across the different categories. Jumia visitors will be able to purchase from home, their office or while they are in traffic just by using their phone, through Jumia’s mobile app or the website. The frenzy discounts will be applied from home accesories to the latest generation phones and laptops. Additionally, as customers make merry, the brands selling at Jumia Egypt too are hoping to see an increment on the sales volume and cash-in on the festival.
The project adopted by the leader ecommerce company this year aims to increase the rate of online shopping and users in Egypt stressing on the idea that online is not only the new way of shopping, but the new way of living. Moreover, with many first time online shoppers expected to log on, brands and companies are targeting the acquisition of more and more new customers.
Jumia Egypt expects a tremendous response from the Egyptian public and claims they will reach 4M+ fans and customers covering just the different online channels. Jumia will carry out a 360 degrees campaign covering online platforms (onsite promotions on the website and Jumia mobile app as well as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and offline activities.
