ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT - 8 July 2017: A permanent exhibition of the Alexandria Tramway recently opened in Raml Station showing the stages of development of the city's tram network.
Panoramic views, photographs and stories show the history and development of the tram line in Alexandria over the last 150 years.

The exhibition shows tram car models, photographs and other historical items of interest such as tram conductors' hats and trumpets, old tickets and coins.

The exhibition, which has recently opened, attracts tourists and passengers to spend some time exploring the history of the tram line which is presented in three languages; Arabic, English and French.

The exhibition's displays were designed and executed by the staff of Alexandria's Faculty of Fine Arts.

The Alexandria tramway was first built in 1863 and contains 20 lines operating 32 kilometers of track throughout the city.
