Thailand named Best Golf Destination by Dubai

CAIRO - 7 July 2017: Thailand received the Best Golf Destination award from the Arab Travel Awards Tuesday in a celebration at JW Marriott Dubai.

"This is truly a manifestation of our hard work and dedication to give our Middle East-based golf enthusiasts the highest quality of golf products and services,” said the director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai and Middle East office, Chalermsak Suranant, during the event.

“Thailand can boast some of the best courses in the world... Golfers also get the chance to enjoy the kingdom’s infinite variety of tourism services, festivals, food, and fun, which are offered by the golf destinations... For ladies, they can partake in several leisure activities after a round of play, such as spa treatments, facials, Thai cooking classes, or shopping in local markets and luxury malls,” he added.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand will draw more visitor expenditure rather than growing their numbers by offering value-added products, resulting in longer stays of tourists, according to a statement by the authority.
