ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – 6 July 2017 : The Ministry of Antiques is providing five electric cars to serve visitors and tourists at Al-Moez Street.
The historic Cairo project has purchased five new electric cars to serve visitors, tourists and people in the Al-Moez Street area, increasing the current number of cars to thirteen.
“This step was taken due to the increased number of visitors at the street. The responsible members of the project took the decision in order to save the street by preventing the movement of vehicles,” said Mohamed Abdel Aziz, the General Director of Cairo Historical Project.
Buying the new electric cars cost a total of LE 1.2M ($67,077). The cost was equally shared between the Ministry of Antiques and the Ministry of Tourism, highlighting the importance of the historical value of the area.
