CEO of Egypt’s Tourism Promotion Board meets Egyptian bloggers, influencers to participate in ‘Discover Egypt’ campaign

CAIRO – 17 March 2021: In preparation of launching the "Discover Egypt" campaign to raise tourism and archaeological awareness among Egyptians and promote domestic tourism, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board [ETPB] Ahmed Youssef convened with a number of young Egyptian bloggers and influencers who have a large number of followers on various social media platforms. 

 

 

Together, they reviewed the tourism programs prepared by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board for the bloggers and influencers to participate in. 

 

 

They will visit a number of tourist and archaeological destinations in the cities of Egypt during the coming period, in order to promote them to their followers highlighting the customs and traditions of the local communities, the handicrafts and the heritage.

 

 

Youssef indicated that the collaborating with influencers and bloggers to showcase the beauty of Egypt is part of the ministry's plan to update its marketing and promotion tools to be in line with international trends. 

 

 

Moreover, he added that those influencers are very popular among youth, a segment that the ministry targets to increase their loyalty and sense of belonging to their homeland, so that each of them becomes an ambassador for tourism in their country in their own way.

 

 

At the end of the meeting, these bloggers and influencers thanked the ETPB for the its interest in organizing these visits, which would give them an opportunity to learn about the history and civilization of their country and involve them in promoting their country to the world.
