Board of Directors of National Museum of Egyptian Civilization discuss final preparations for the Golden Pharaoh’s Parade

CAIRO – 16 March 2021: A meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization was held on March 15, headed by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Enany, at the museum’s headquarters in Fustat, to discuss the final preparations for receiving the Golden Pharaoh’s parade in the upcoming period.

 

 

During the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors agreed that the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board will start the promotional campaign for the parade, which was prepared in advance with the museum.

 

 

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities also directed the museum trustees to do free guided tours to Egyptian visitors and school trips inside the Central Exhibition Hall of the Museum after its opening, with a commitment to all precautionary measures and health safety regulations followed in museums and archaeological sites.

 

 

The fees of all types of photography in the museum was also approved, similar to that of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

 

 

In the context of promoting the museum, the Board of Directors agreed to allow representatives of the Egyptian, Arab and international media to shoot for free inside the Central Exhibition Hall for two days after the opening.

 

 

At the end of the meeting, Enany thanked the museum’s management and the members of the museum’s display committee for the great efforts made. 

 

 

He also congratulated Enas Gaafar and Fayrouz Fikry on their appointment as deputies for the Chief Executive Officer of the Museum’s Authority.
