CAIRO – 11 March 2021: On March 11 at 7 p.m., Al-Ghoury Creativity Center on Al-Azhar Street will host a concert for the National Troupe for Folk Art.
The troupe adopts the idea of preserving the Egyptian identity by presenting folkloric dances that show the Egyptian character in its best form.
The troupe was founded in 1960 and its most famous pioneer is the choreographer, director Kamal Naim, and the artist Hassan Khalil.
The aim of creating the troupe was the rooting of all folk dances with their kinetic expressions, clothes and accessories, including customs and traditions, through the use of the scientific method and transferring it to the stage after reformulating it
