The sleeping child statue in Kafr El-Sheikh Museum
CAIRO - 11 March 2021: The sleeping child statue is a unique statue from the Greco-Roman period which depicts a sleeping child.
This statue was found in the Burullus area, and most likely it was decorating a villa or a luxurious house.
We know from the Greek papyri that the Burullus area was prosperous at the beginning of the era of Constantine the Great. You can see this unique statue in Kafr El-Sheikh Museum, along with many other breath-taking artifacts.
