Winners of 1st Yahya Haqi Award for Fiction to be announced in April

CAIRO – 8 March 2021: El-Nahda Association for Scientific & Cultural Renaissance (Cairo Jesuit) announced the short list for the 1st Yahya Haqi Award for Fiction. The award was opened for applications in September 2020.

Five novels compete in the list. The prize is presented by the Alliance of Egyptians in North America and Canada. The family of the renowned writer Yahya Haqi is represented in the award through his daughter Noha Haqi.

The winner of the first place will be granted LE 150,000. The winner of the second place will be awarded LE 70,000.

The winners will be announced in April, 2021.
