Despite unstable weather: Mobile theater convoys resume in various governorates

CAIRO – 21 February 2021: Despite the unstable weather and the cold wave that hit the governorates of Egypt during the past few days, shows of the mobile theater, presented by the General Authority for Culture Palaces, were held in various governorates.

The events included artistic performances by the Folklore Band.

It is worth noting that the mobile theaters are part of a strategy to confront intolerance and extremist ideas, as caravans of mobile theaters roam Egypt to reshape awareness, spread enlightenment and correct behavior through various creative programs that presents all forms of thought and art.

The mobile theaters are considered a new leap in the path of achieving cultural justice and an outlet for the cultural product to reach villages, hamlets, border areas and the neediest areas nationwide.

The Caravan Theaters offer a special program of Arabic music and folklore. The convoys also contribute to discovering talents, who will be registered on a database in order to present theatrical performances with the Regional Team Theater of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, as well as in coordination with the Theater Art House.
