CAIRO – 16 February 2021: A meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat was held on February 16 to discuss a number of issues regarding developments in the museum's work.
The Board members were first briefed on the developments in the museum's website, where the executing company displayed the website's design, its various pages, and the electronic services it provides to introduce all the museum activities.
The possibility of adding the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to the visiting sites of Cairo Pass was also discussed. The Cairo Pass allows its holder to visit a number of museums and archaeological sites in the governorates of Cairo and Giza for five consecutive days.
The Board also approved the application of the explanatory tour guides system through headphones, system that is currently in force in the Supreme Council of Antiquities' major museums, provided that the ticket price is LE 30. This contributes to maintaining calmness inside the museum and avoids the interference between the guides' voices.
Additionally, the Board agreed that the museum should abide by the Supreme Council of Antiquities' photography regulations for museums and sites.
