AUC’s Translation Studies Center to hold ‘Translating Egyptian Colloquial Poetry’ on Feb. 23

CAIRO – 14 February 2021: The Translation Studies Center at the American University in Cairo will hold a symposium entitled "Translating Egyptian Colloquial Poetry: Sayed Darwish as a Model", on February 23 at 7 p.m., via Zoom.

During the symposium, Palestinian-Egyptian researcher and writer Mai Sarhan will speak. Mai holds a BA in English and Comparative Literature and a MA in Arabic Studies from the American University in Cairo. She also studied screenwriting at New York University.
