This comes as part of the "Torathak Amanah" [Your Heritage is Important] initiative, launched by the National Library and Archives, with the aim of collecting heritage holdings such as documents, manuscripts, rare books and other valuable heritage possessions of individuals and families, to preserve them as part of the national memory.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Nofal Abdel-Gawad Nofal worked as an inspector at the Ministry of Public Education and his collection includes the personal papers and academic certificates granted by King Fouad, as well as other papers that belong to his wife, and a number of documents, folders and notebooks.
The National Library & Archives will carry out sterilization, restoration and all technical operations of classification and indexing before making them available to researchers.
Head of the National Library and Archives Nevin Mohamed Moussa confirmed that these holdings and what they contain illustrate many social, cultural and intellectual aspects of the Egyptian society. It also provides a reading of a historical period through original sources to learn about a number of different values.
