El-Hanager Cinema screens ‘The Rebels’ on Feb. 4

CAIRO – 3 February 2021: Cairo Opera’s El-Hanager cinema- affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund sector- will host, on February 4 at 7 p.m., a new evening of the Documentary Cinema Salon, which is supervised and presented by director Ahmed Fouad Darwish.

The salon presents for the first time the feature film “El-Motamaredon” [The Rebels], a 1966 production of the Cinema Foundation, written by Salah Hafez and directed by Tawfik Saleh.

The film discusses Egypt’s social conditions during the forties and the seriousness of tuberculosis.
