CAIRO – 2 February 2021: The General Authority for Culture Palaces launched the activities of the third edition of Nubian ceremonies in the villages of Nubia surrounding Aswan, according to a statement issued by the General Authority for Culture Palaces Tuesday.

The choice of Nubia to hold the ceremonial activity for the third year comes to give the opportunity to a number of artists to wander in Nubia and Aswan and depict the region's customs, traditions, culture, and shapes of buildings, and markets in their paintings.

This is considered a documentation of every aspect of this very important Egyptian region, which every Egyptian is keen to see as it is, with its beauty, purity, charm of nature, and the kindness of its people.

This year's ceremony will continue until February 7, 2021. It started with tours inside the archaeological areas as well as villages and hamlets of ancient Nubia, including the Nubia Museum, the High Dam, the High Dam Reservoir, the symbol of friendship, West Suhail, Heissa Island, West Aswan, the missing obelisk, the open museum, the Philae Temple, and other places that inspire artists.

During these tours, artists draw their sketches, monitor people's impressions, and record and document customs and traditions.

At the end of the ceremony, it is agreed to hold a plastic exhibition in a distinguished hall in Cairo.
