CAIRO – 24 January 2021: The Ministry of Culture has received 6 mobile theaters, through which various types of arts travel to the remotest and neediest areas in Egypt. This comes within the ministry’s efforts to achieve cultural justice.
Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem stated that mobile theaters are one of the development projects that the ministry is working on. It was included in the work system of the General Authority for Culture Palaces.
The theaters will be distributed in theater locations for each of the six main cultural regions, namely: Greater Cairo, North Upper Egypt, Central and Southern Upper Egypt, West Delta, East Delta, Canal, and Sinai, covering all governorates of Egypt with diverse cultural, intellectual, creative and artistic programs.
Abdel Dayem emphasized that this is an effective addition to the renewable cultural infrastructure system that aims to invest in minds, build people, and confront extremist thought by enriching the creative life nationwide.
