Megastar Samira Said to release ‘Baheb Ma’ak’ song on January 20

CAIRO - 19 January 2021: Megastar Samira Said will release ”Baheb Ma’ak”song on January 20.

” Baheb Ma’ak” is written by Mahmoud Talaat and composed by Ahmed Eladl.

Said released her song ”Qot w Far” ( Cat and Mouse) on September 10, 2020 during an online concert.

The song is written by Abdel Hamid el Habak and composed by Ehab Abdel Wahed.

The diva, Samira Said performed an online concert that was broadcast via her official Tik Tok account on September 10 at 8:30 p.m.

During the concert, Said performed a number of songs from her newest album “Ayam Hayati” [Days Of My Life], including “Hob May’os Meno” [Hopeless Love], “Ana Keter Alaik” [I’m Too Much For You] and “Oyounak Odami”.

Said has recently finished recording her most recent song “Ze’elna Mn Ba’ad”, which will be released in the upcoming days.

The song is written by Ramadan Mohamed, composed by Mohamed Yahya and distributed by Amir Mahrous.

It is noteworthy Said sang the theme song of the series “Lama Kona Soghayareen” [When We Were Young], staring Reham Hagag.

The series achieved great success in Ramadan 2020.

The song is written by Amir Teama and composed by Madien.

Said also participated in the operetta “Enta Aqwa” [You Are Stronger] with the mega stars Mohamed Mounir, Tamer Hosni, Carole Samaha, Wael Jassar and Saber al-Rebai.

Moreover, she has recently released a video clip for the song "Waqe’ Magnon" [Insane Reality], written by Bahaa el-Din Mohamed, composed by Ashraf Salem, arranged by Mohamed Aram, and directed by Nidal Hani.

Said released  album "Superman" in 2018.

She cooperated in this album with a number of prominent poets and composers such as composer Belal Serour, poet Shady Nour, and distrbutor Hany Yachoub, among others. 

Said was born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1958; she started singing when she was only 9 years old. 

She was discovered when she participated in “Mawaheb”, the famous Moroccan talent show, broadcasted at the time on the Royal Moroccan TV network. 

Although she recorded some songs in Moroccan, such as "Kifash Tlakina" (How We Met), "Fayetli Sheftek Shi Marra" (I've Seen You Once), "Sarkouh" (They Stole Him), and "Al-Behhara" (The Sailors), most of her songs are in the Egyptian dialect such as "Mahaslesh Haga" (Nothing Happened), "Ayza Aeesh" (I Want to Live) and "Hawa Hawa" (Air Air), among others. 

Said’s songs tackle various topics that discuss women's issues. 

She has a wide fan-base from different ages and from all over the MENA region.

Said’s musical repertoire includes about 46 music albums, and more than 500 songs. 

She received praise from late great Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez, and composer Baligh Hamdi.

She's been living in Egypt for years. 

Said has collaborated with many international artists; she successfully reintroduced and evolved the Arab music scene in the early 2000s when she collaborated with Cheb Mami in “Youm Wara Youm” (Day After Day) which was considered a new wave in music back then. 

Said was the first singer from the MENA region to be chosen by the international Eurovision Song Contest to perform her song “Bitaqat Hub” (Love Card). 

Said won many international awards, including the World Music Award, and the BBC Music Award.
