CAIRO – 19 January 2021: The ancient Egyptian civilization led the fields of art, architecture and engineering in the world with creations that can still be seen in museums around the world.

 

The Metropolitan Museum of Art showcases tools dating back to 1390-1352 BC that were used by the Egyptian painter.This artist's instrument is made from a single ivory piece. It includes six oval paint wells that still contain blue, green, brown, yellow, red and black pigments.

At one end of the palette there is also an inscription of Amenhotep III (about 1401-1353 BC) in hieroglyphs.

 

The reign of Amenhotep III was one of the most prosperous periods in ancient Egypt and was full of achievements in arts and culture.

 

Experts explained that the design of this tool is very similar to many of the artistic tools used today.
