CAIRO - 13 January 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem said that the content shown on the Ministry of Culture’s YouTube channel is witnessing a remarkable popularity.
The minister confirms the public’s desire to enjoy the intellectual and artistic Egyptian creativity. She added that the electronic cultural service has become one of the effective means to spread enlightenment, especially in light of the precautionary measures set by the state to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
On January 14 at 8 p.m., an evening on Nigeria will be broadcast as part of the “Know Your Family” program to introduce African cultures. At 9 p.m., a recorded concert from the Egyptian Opera House performances will be broadcast for marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz. This will be followed with a concert for the popular band Masar Egbari.
On January 15 at 8 p.m., a rare evening of the Opera Cultural Salon for the late star Mahmoud Yassin will be broadcast.
On January 16 at 8 p.m., a documentary film, which narrates the features of the artistic career of the star Laila Taher, will be broadcast by the National Theatre Centre as part of the “Creativity Memory” series that documents the history of great creators of Egypt.
At 9 p.m., a concert for the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will be broadcast from the performances of the Egyptian Opera House, which includes selections from the works of the international Russian musician Tchaikovsky.
