CAIRO – 22 December 2020: In 2020, the Egyptian Ministry of Culture organized more than 14 artistic and literary festivals and gatherings, out of its belief in its importance in bringing about the intellectual and creative movement that serves the Egyptian soft power.
Among the festivals presented by the ministry was the Dandara Festival for Music and Singing in Qena Governorate, which is the first of its kind in southern Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the Tourism Promotion Authority and South Valley University.
Including 10 concerts over a period of 6 days.
That is in addition to the 13th National Theater Festival, the 42nd Cairo International Film Festival, the 29th Arab Music Festival and Conference, the 13th Samaa International Festival for Spiritual Chanting, 5th Cairo International Forum for the Arts of Arabic Calligraphy, 25th Aswan International Symposium for Sculpture, 36th Alexandria International Film Festival, 9th Luxor Festival for African Cinema, 27th Experimental Theater Festival which was held online, Luxor Forum for Photography, 4th Aswan International Women's Film Festival, 6th Alexandria Short Film Festival and the 5th Sharm El-Sheikh International Theater Festival for Youth.
