CAIRO - 18 December 2020: The Cairo Symphony Orchestra continues to present a series of concerts of the greatest symphonies.
The Cairo Symphony Orchestra is set to perform a concert led by Maestro Ahmed el-Saidi, with the participation of soprano Eman Moustafa , mezzo soprano Jolly Fayzy and tenor Amr Medhat on December 19 at 8 p.m. at Cairo Opera’s Grand Theater celebrating Christmas.
Thr orchestra will play selections of the most famous Christmas songs.
Cairo Symphony Orchestra, led by maestro Hisham Gabr, performed a concert in July at the Fountain Theater of the Cairo Opera House, headed by Magdy Saber.
The concert was held with the participation of the first female violin performer in the Finnish European Union Orchestra Laura Virtanen.
All the musicians on stage wore face masks.
The ceremony showcased the sophistication and classiness of the Egyptian audience, who committed to all the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The orchestra’s leader was able to accurately confirm, through the skills and creativity of the instrument players, that music is a universal language capable of building bridges of communication between peoples.
The concert’s program included a number of the most important international classic works of major world-class composers.
It is worth noting that the Cairo Symphony Orchestra is the oldest in Egypt, as it was founded in 1959 by the Austrian maestro Franz Letchaur.
Since this date, the symphony has contributed to enriching the musical life in Egypt by hosting the most famous musicians in the world, as well as a pledge to encourage Egyptian musicians, composers and leaders, allowing them to advertise themselves.
