Egypt's marimba princess Nesma Abdel Aziz to perform in Cairo Opera on Dec. 16

CAIRO – 15 December 2020: The Egyptian Opera House will organize on December 16 an artistic concert for the famous marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz and her band.

The concert’s program includes selections from international musical works as well as a number of traditional and contemporary oriental melodies that she reformulated to fit the marimba instrument.

Nesma Abdel Aziz began her musical studies at the Cairo Conservatory at an early age. She specialized in playing percussion instruments.

She presented many successful concerts on the theaters of the Egyptian Opera House and the cultural and artistic centers in Cairo, Alexandria and various governorates.

Audiences and critics have dubbed her the "Princess of Percussion" due to her proficiency in playing all percussion instruments.
