CAIRO – 14 December 2020: The sculptor Mai Abdallah, who was previously honored by President Sisi at the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, published several photos on her Facebook account of a statue of the late writer Naguib Mahfouz.

The statue was admired by many, noting her accuracy in drawing details.

Plastic artist and sculptor Mai Abdallah graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minya University, in 2017.

She was named "The Minya Sculptor", after her graduation project and artworks were admired by many.

She became the center of attention on numerous social media platforms many times, especially after she was criticized because of the infamous statue of Mohamed Salah, which was shown at the World Youth Forum last year.

However, she succeeded in stealing the spotlight again through her latest exhibition "Teatro", in which she presented the stars of the beautiful time in Egyptian cinema.

Abdallah participated in the World Youth Forum in 2017 and 2018 in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Despite much criticism of her because of the statue of Mohamed Salah, which was shown at the last World Youth Forum, she received great support from the Egyptian football star through a phone call he made to her, where she promised him to make another statue to of him to put in his home.
