CAIRO – 9 December 2020: The Kubbat El-Ghoury Center, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, will host a concert for the National Folklore Art Troupe of the Artistic House for Folk and Performing Arts, on December 10 at 7 p.m., at the center's headquarters on Al-Azhar Street.
The troupe adopts the idea of preserving the Egyptian identity and personality by presenting folk dances that show the Egyptian character in its best form.
It is noteworthy that the National Troupe for Folk Art was established in 1960 and its most famous pioneer is the choreographer, director Kamal Naim, and the artist Hassan Khalil.
The aim of its creation was rooting for all folk dances with their kinetic expressions, clothes and accessories, including customs and traditions, through the use of the scientific method and transferring it to the stage after reformulating it.
