CAIRO – 9 December 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Culture  Inas Abdel Dayem, will inaugurate Wednesday, a large group of projects and mega-edifices that have been completed at the Academy of Arts headed by Ashraf Zaki.

These projects, which were completed and operated in record time, are considered a giant leap on the road to the future.

The minister begins opening the wall of the Academy after developing it and beautifying it to collect a number of paintings by talented professors and students of the Academy, in addition to opening the developed wall of libraries for major publishing houses in Egypt, which provide cultural service to students of the Academy as well as play a community role to promote the culture, taste and awareness of the people of the areas surrounding the Academy.

Abdel Dayem will also inaugurate the School of Arts, this gigantic edifice that is unparalleled to teach arts subjects for all disciplines for the lower levels of the Academy. This sophisticated school is a civilized façade for the arts in Egypt.

That is in addition to the opening of the new building of the Higher Institute for Arabic Music, which was transformed after replacement and renewal works according to quality standards as a center for artistic radiation and an institute unmatched in all countries that are interested in studying Arabic music.

Also, Minister of Education and Technical Education Tarik Shawky, accompanied by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, will inaugurate the first artisanal technical school for applied technology for the lower stage.

It is noteworthy that the Academy of Arts for Applied Technology School is one of the monuments of challenge and record achievement in time and effort.

The idea arose last September based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to increase the number of schools and universities of applied technology.

A partnership protocol has been signed with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to realize the dream in less than three months. This school is the first of its kind to graduate specialized technicians to support the cultural industries market that suffers from the scarcity of these professions and these skills.

At the end of the tour, Abdel Dayem opens the activities of the Zaki Tulaimat Arab Theater Festival at the Academy Square and the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts Theater, which includes 13 theater shows and a range of competitions and cultural events.
