The Nile Art Gallery will open an exhibition for the plastic artist Yasser Jeissah under the title "Alexandria in the Past", in Zamalek, on December 6 at 6 p.m. The exhibition will continue until December 19.

“The past turns into old black and white photos, and those images are stuck in the mind. All of us are connected to our past, with pictures, stories, faded pictures, black and white pictures, so how can these pictures spark memories, memories behind those pictures,” says Jeissah.

“I decided to turn those pictures and those stories into a modern, tangible reality by drawing a life in them, but in a modern image, a modern colorful life,” concluded Jeissah.

It is noteworthy that the artist Yasser Jeissah began his artistic career as a professional artist in 1992 while studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Animation and Book Art.

He worked for a number of Arab and international newspapers. He organized a number of international art festivals from 2012 to 2019. He practiced art and writing from 1992 until the present day.

Jeissah created 130 children's books. He worked in the field of advertising in major institutions, and worked as a visual expert in 12 projects with US AID, with holdings in many countries and museums around the world.
