793 artists compete in 2nd Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture & Arts competition

CAIRO – 18 November 2020: The screening and reception committees at the Farouk Hosni Foundation for Culture and Arts have completed counting the works that meet the conditions of its annual award in the fields of painting, art criticism and sculpture, which are the three branches in which the annual Marathon competition was launched.

The names of the semi-finalists will be announced in the foreseeable future, and a group exhibition of the finalists and an award ceremony will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Social Solidarity at Al-Gezira Arts Center in Zamalek on January 5, 2021.

The total number of prizes total up to L.E100,000.

It is worth noting that the Farouk Hosni Foundation for Culture and Arts had decided to increase the number of branches of its annual competition in its second edition to five, including photography, art criticism, sculpture, photography and architecture, after it was limited in its first edition last year to one prize in photography.
