CAIRO - 15 November 2020: The Qubbat al-Ghoury Creativity Center - affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund Sector - will host a concert for the National Folklore Troupe of the Artistic House for Folk and Performing Arts, on November 15 at 7 p.m.
The troupe adopts the idea of preserving the Egyptian identity and personality by presenting folkloric dances that show the Egyptian character in its best forms, including: Nubian, Falahi, Saidi, Saheli, and others.
The troupe was founded in 1960 and its most famous pioneers are the choreographer, director Kamal Naim, and the artist Hassan Khalil.
Also, the aim of its establishment was rooting for all folk dances with their kinetic expressions, clothes and accessories, and the customs and traditions they contain, through the use of scientific methods and transferring it to the stage after reformulating it.
