CAIRO - 10 November 2020: Prominent Lebanese star Cynthia Khalifeh takes part in the new TV Drama Nemra Etnein (This Other Thing) that is currently aired on Shaid VIP.
 
The series brings together elite stars of Egypt and the Arab world.
 
Each episode carries the signature of a different director and writer, but under one dramatic line.
 
Cynthia Khalifeh participated in the episode entitles Enta Feen, alongside stars Asser Yassin and Arwa Gouda.
 
 
Nemra Etnein is written by director/writer Adam Abdel
Gaffar.
 
The cast includes a number of stars includes; Cynthia Khalifeh, Menna Shalaby, Mona Zaki, Nelly Karim, Asser Yassin, Amr Youssef, Amina Khalil, Maged El Kedwany, Shereen Reda, Eyad Nassar, Yacob Alfarhan, Arwa Gouda, Ahmed Malek, Saba Mubarak, Ahmed El Saadany, Sarah Taibah, and Noha Abdin, among others.
Most recently, Cynthia stars the new Arab TV series Wadi Al Jinn, produced by Viu, the leading pan-regional OTT video service.
 
 
Directed by Hossam El Gohary, the supernatural-thriller series Wadi Al Jinn is written by Mohammad Hisham Obya, who also wrote Viu’s Zodiac (2019), alongside Menna Ikram and Omar Khaled.
 
Co-produced by iProductions, Wadi Al Jinn stars a number of huge leading and upcoming Arab stars from Egypt, Lebanon, KSA, Iraq and Syria including; Youssef Othman, Layla Ahmed Zaher, and Cynthia Khalifeh, alongside Khaled Kamal, Reham Saeed, Mohsen Mansour, Roa Channouha, Hana Daoud, Hasan Malik, Abdelrahman Al Yamani, and Firas Sa’id.
 
 
The crew of Wadi Al Jinn includes the Art Director Hind Haidar, Director of Photography Ashraf Gaber, Costume Designer Enas Abdullah, and Editor Ramez Atef to feature the mystery of Wadi Al Jinn through dazzling visuals with the support of one of Egypt’s top visual effects studios, TREND VFX.
 
 
The cast of the supernatural-thriller series also includes a number of notable names such as Saleh Abdel Nabi, Karim El Dessouky, Ahmed Abdel Hay, Injy Abaza, Shammam El Hassan, Hamza Al Eily, Heba Abdel Ghani, Asma Suleiman, Hind Reda, Safaa Jalal, and Ola Rami, in addition to the special guest appearance of the Egyptian star Bushra.
 
 
To be aired on Viu in a few months, the fictional series follows the story of four college students who explore the mysterious Wadi Al Jinn caves and find themselves in a hidden underworld dominated by evil forces.

Born into a family of art-lovers and spending most of her childhood in the authentic sea town of Batroun in Lebanon, Cynthia Khalifeh‘s acting career began at the age of 11 when she landed a supporting role on the popular Lebanese sitcom Abdo w Abdo (2003).
 
She then pursued her early passion for acting through numerous projects and productions, such as Ruby (2012) and Jouzour (2013), to name a few.
 
 
Cynthia quickly started nourishing her talent by appearing on MTV in 2009 on shows like @MTV, NRJ Music Videos, NRJ Spinmag, Go Green, Preview, Killer Karaoke 1 & 2 (Abu Dhabi TV - Alhayat Egypt), Swipe & Click 1 & 2 ( Abu Dhabi TV), and last but not least, Coke Studio on MBC 4.
 
With a near-full schedule during her teen years, the talented Cynthia was also pursuing a Filmmaking degree at IESAV-USJ (Institut d'Etudes Scenetiques, Audio-Visuelles et Cinematographiques) and at Notre-Dame University.
 
Most recently, Cynthia completed an intensive Creative Acting course at the renowned Actors Space in Barcelona.
 
The year 2017 saw Cynthia’s career skyrocket with her performance in the award-winning short film Cargo (2017), which received numerous prestigious awards in over 40 international festivals, including Best Short Film award at the Cairo International Film Festival.
 
Her first step in the European market came soon after, through two popular shows in France that were aired on M6 in 2018. One of those shows was the French version of Survivor; Moundir et Les Apprentis (2018), in which she reached the semi-final, further solidifying her position as a force to be reckoned with.
 
Last year saw Cynthia’s biggest UK and EU break yet, after being signed by the Los Angeles renowned actor‘s manager Chuck Binder and the London-based boutique agency MLInternational Talent.
Currently, Cynthia made the smart decision by moving to Egypt for more reach in the Arab region, and is now being mentored by marketing guru Siza Zayed while filming two new series in Cairo; Nemra Etnein (This Other Thing) and The Parallel Cave with a number of Egyptian stars.
