CAIRO – 2 November 2020: Prince Taz Palace, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund, is preparing to present several art workshops.
Among these workshops is a religious chanting workshop of the singer Mahmoud el-Tohamy, which is held every Saturday and Tuesday at 1 p.m. Also, a workshop to teach playing musical instruments, targeting ages from 10 to 18 years is held at 12 p.m.
Additionally, the acting, storytelling and theater arts workshop is held on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday of every week at 4 p.m. Prince Taz Palace coral workshop is held every Sunday and Thursday of every week.
It is worth noting that Prince Taz Palace is located in Old Cairo in Al-Khalifa area of the Citadel. It was established by its owner, Prince Seif al-Din Taz bin Qutaghaj; one of the prominent princes in the era of the Maritime Mamluk state.
The palace spans over more than 8,000 square meters. The large courtyard in the middle is designated as a garden that is surrounded bythe main and subsidiary buildings of the palace, the most important of which is the wing of the sanctuary, the seating area or the main building, which comprises of the reception, annexes, and the stable.
