CAIRO – 25 October 2020: A number of cultural and artistic events will be held in several cultural centers on October 25, including the opening of the Heritage Crafts Festival, and a symposium on the future of education in Egypt at the Supreme Council of Culture.
Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, accompanied by Head of the Fine Arts Sector Khaled Sorour, will inaugurate the 13th edition of the Heritage Crafts Festival, at 6 p.m. in Al-Jazeera Cinema Center of the Cairo Opera.
The Education and Psychology Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture is organizing a seminar under the title "Education and the Future of Culture in Egypt", at 1 p.m. in the council’s main Hall.
The Picasso East Gallery opens the retrospective exhibition of the late artist "TAD" in the presence of many plastic artists, media figures and some public figures, at 6 p.m.
It is noteworthy that the artist, Nagy Michel Shanbo, AKA "Tad", passed away in 2007. He was a member of the Fine Artists Association, Painting Division, and a member of the National Association for Arts.
The activities of a workshop for youth of both genders will begin at 9 a.m. under the title "The Art of Copper Forming - Copper Wire Works and Lighting Units”, at Bayt al-Sinnari in Al-Sayeda Zeinab.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Sustainable Development Studies Program and the Information and Communication Technology Sector, in cooperation with UNESCO and the Arab Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union, will hold at 4 p.m. the "Digital Inclusion Week in the Arab Region" meeting with university students to introduce the global goals for sustainable development and the activities provided by the BA in the fields of communication and information technology, such as the supercomputer project. This meeting comes as part of the activities of the Elite Youth League program.
