CAIRO - 23 October 2020: The opening ceremony of the fourth edition of El Gouna Film Festival took place on October 24.

 

“Welcome from El Gouna which became a capital of cinema” recounted Egypt’s Red Sea governer Amr Hanafy.

Egypt’s Red Sea governor welcomed the guests in Egypt, describing it with the country of civilization and culture.

“Egypt existed even before history” he added.

Egypt’s Red Sea governor added that Egypt made a lot of achievements in the era of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi in terms of combating terrorism and extremism.

“The world suffered a lot because of COVID-19” he said praising how Egypt managed to contain COVID-19 crisis and dealt with this crisis professionally.

“Cinema is the fastest kind of art to deliver the needed message to the audience”

Egypt’s Red Sea governor expressed that GFF is a sucessful example of private cinema festival.
